The Floorboards at Five Points Music Sanctuary
The Floorboards’ music journey has taken them up and down the east coast and across musical genres. The band’s website says it best, “The band marries rock & roll and country roots with the sights and sounds of southern mountain towns. Jake and Rob shake the leaves from the trees. Chris coaxes stringed cries from the hills and hollers. Matt writes and sings the story.”
However you describe The Floorboards’ music, it draws a crowd and gets that crowd moving. During The Floorboards’ Roots2Rock performance the band debuted new music.
The Floorboards hit the Blue Ridge music scene in 2012. Their music journey has put the band on the stage with Dwight Yoakam, Trampled by Turtles, Darryl Scott, Tim O’Brien, Yarn, Los Colognes, Royal Southern Brotherhood, Will Overman, and many more. Drawing on these influences and writing their new music as a band have propelled their collective musical talents to new heights.
What is Roots2Rock on the road?
Our Roots2Rock on the road series is just as it sounds. Our crew packs the gear in the wagon and hits the road to bring you live music streamed on our Facebook page. These live streams come from taprooms, smaller listening rooms and even recording studios. When we say live we mean a multi-camera switched live stream that will immerse viewers into the performance.
