Roots2Rock is back with another audience free stream featuring Poe Mack from The Spot on Kirk in Roanoke, Virginia, on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 7:30 pm. Poe Mack has toured with the Middle East Micfest Tour, with 9th Wonder and Jamla Records in 2011. He has done more than 1,000 live performances sharing the stage with numerous underground hip hop artists, and some of hip hop’s elites such as 9th Wonder, Rapsody, Kendrick Lamar, Trillville, Ying Yang Twins, T.I., Kelly Rowland, Keith Murray, 2 Chainz, King Mez, Cesar Comanche, Rapper Big Pooh, Jane L. Powell, and Eternia.

Homegrown
The Roanoke native has worked with producers and other artists in Canada, England, and South Africa. Radio stations including 101.5FM (Roanoke, VA), 97.3FM (Richmond, VA), 88.1FM (Durham, NC), 97.0FM (South Africa), 90.7FM (Blacksburg, VA), and 90.3FM (Rhode Island)have played Poe Mack’s music. His name has been in print and online in outlets such as Spin Magazine, Respect Magazine, New York Times, Roanoke Times, The News Herald (Morganton, NC), DJ Booth, and Newsweek. In addition to being featured on the airwaves and in print, the Taubman Museum of Arts highlighted Poe Mack’s music in an exhibit detailing the history of hip hop Roanoke, Virginia.
Roots2Rock on the Road
Roots2Rock and all the music in-between, highlights great talent on the rise and the unique venues that call Virginia’s Blue Ridge home. Venues such as The Spot on Kirk, an intimate venue that focuses on exceptional music, clear sound, dedicated fans and not a bad seat in the house. But this concert is online only.
Our Roots2Rock on the road series is just as it sounds. Our crew packs the gear in the wagon and hits the road to bring you live music streamed on our Facebook page. These live streams come from taprooms, smaller listening rooms and even recording studios. When we say live we mean a multi-camera switched live stream that will immerse viewers into the performance.
