The Mad Iguanas draw inspiration from the Grateful Dead, Keb Mo and Widespread Panic. In their more than 10 years of playing together they have grown into a sound that is all their own, a little bit classic rock, a little bit blues and a little bit funk. Crowds show up to hear their favorite tunes, songs at this writing they can only hear live.

In this interview the Mad Iguanas talk about their style, and goals for the future. A future that includes recording these crowd favorites to reach a wider audience.

Roots2Rock caught up with the Mad Iguanas at Big Lick Brewing Company in Roanoke, Virginia. It is part of our Taproom Series where we stream live music from craft breweries.

What is Roots2Rock on the road?

Our Roots2Rock on the road series is just as it sounds. Our crew packs the gear in the wagon and hits the road to bring you live music streamed on our Facebook page. These live streams come from taprooms, smaller listening rooms and even recording studios. When we say live we mean a multi-camera switched live stream that will immerse viewers into the performance.
